WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say Woodland Park Mayor David Turley has been arrested by Woodland Park police after he was accused of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.

At a news conference Friday, police said a search warrant was served at Turley’s home Thursday evening. The house and a vehicle were searched and some items were taken from the home, but authorities declined to be specific.

There was no listing Friday for a phone number for Turley in Woodland Park and no attorney for him listed in Colorado court records.

Police said Friday that they believe that there is one victim.
