GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - The Weld County District Attorney’s Office has identified 31-year-old Raymond Eugene Garcia as the man Greeley police shot and killed during a prostitution sting operation.

Greeley police say they were working undercover prostitution cases on Wednesday when Garcia showed up as a customer of an undercover female officer and brandished a handgun.

Greeley police say Garcia was shot and killed when they tried to arrest him.



According to the Greeley Tribune (https://tinyurl.com/qz7ux89 ), no Greeley police officers were injured.

The Weld County District Attorney’s Office and the Greeley Police Department’s Investigations and Professional Standards Unit continue to investigate the shooting.
