BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The father of a man convicted of attempted murder has been charged with threatening jurors in the case.

Fifty-four-year-old Glen Haskins Sr., of Swanton pleaded not guilty on Friday to obstruction of justice charges.

His son, 24-year-old Glen Haskins Jr., was convicted earlier this month of attempted second-degree murder in a stabbing outside a restaurant in Burlington in 2012.

The elder Haskins is charged with making threatening statements to jurors outside the courthouse on May 9.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/1nkclgY) that he was released on conditions.
