BOONVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A former teacher at a southwestern Indiana middle school apologized in court for secretly video recording students and teachers in bathrooms and locker rooms.
Thirty-two-year-old Andrew Emmons spoke before a Warrick County judge sentenced him Thursday on his guilty pleas to attempted child exploitation and voyeurism. The judge sentenced Emmons to seven years of probation, including one weekend in jail a month for 18 months.
Emmons was arrested after a female faculty member at Boonville Middle School found a recording device in a staff bathroom. Police say investigators found video on his computer of female students undressing in a locker room.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports (https://bit.ly/1jKm2CY ) Emmons testified he’s undergoing sexual addiction counseling, but several victims said they couldn’t forgive Emmons and wanted him to serve prison time.
