EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - One person has been killed in an apartment fire in Everett that investigators suspect was intentionally set.

Police say officers had responded to a report of breaking glass at 2:45 a.m. Friday when they saw smoke and flames and called firefighters who put out the fire and discovered the body.

Neighbors also reported hearing explosions.

Two people were treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

Dozens of residents were displaced from the Candlewood Apartments until it was safe to return.

Neighbors tell KOMO (https://bit.ly/RigiDV ) a man and his son lived in the ground-floor apartment and the father apparently has died.
