ROCKFORD, Wash. (AP) - Emergency crews have rescued a woman whose car went down an embankment near the town of Rockford.
Authorities received a telephone call just after 7 a.m. on Thursday from the 68-year-old woman, who said she had been in a car crash on Wednesday night.
KHQ-TV reports the woman was still in her vehicle, and had not been able to find her cell phone earlier to call for help.
A rescue team from the Spokane Valley Fire Department brought the woman up the 70-foot embankment.
