JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Juneau police have arrested a 17-year-old boy who allegedly brought a handgun to school.

Police say another student reported seeing the boy with a gun at Thunder Mountain High School. He was found shortly thereafter at the nearby Dimond Field House. Police say a pistol was taken as evidence.

Both Thunder Mountain and Riverbend Elementary School went into lock-down mode during the incident.



Lt. David Campbell said no one was hurt or threatened.

The boy’s name was not released, as he is a juvenile.
