TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The parent company of Tulsa’s Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has acquired a California-based aviation maintenance school.
Spartan SP Investor, LLC, made the announcement this week that it acquired Crimson Technical College in Los Angeles. Terms of the transaction were not released.
Founded in the 1930s at Mines Field - where the Los Angeles International Airport now stands- Crimson offers students a diploma program in aviation maintenance technology. It’s also the largest aviation school in the Los Angeles market.
Peter Harris, who joined Spartan College as its president and CEO in January, will serve as CEO of the parent company, as well as both schools.
