PHOENIX (AP) - Two men charged in the fatal shooting of a clerk of a Phoenix smoke shop during an April 29 robbery have pleaded not guilty.
A Maricopa County Superior Court spokesman says Alex Garcia Jr. and Jesse Ruben Mesa entered their pleas Wednesday.
They’re charged in the shooting of 47-year-old Kadhim Al-Taee.
He was shot multiple times in the shop where a small fire had been set. The business also had been ransacked.
A third man also has been arrested in the case.
