AURORA, Colo. (AP) - Police arrested a man who barricaded himself in an Aurora apartment but he wasn’t the suspect officers were originally trying to find.
The unidentified man was arrested Tuesday morning after police say he ran from police looking for a domestic violence suspect in an apartment building. Police say the man, who matched the suspect’s description, ran into one of the apartments and began stacking things against the door.
A woman and four children were also in the apartment during the standoff, which lasted several hours. Police say the man finally agreed to come out after relatives called and asked the man to surrender.
Police are investigating whether the woman in the apartment was held against her will.
