Detroit Schools to hold 3rd teacher career fair

DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Public Schools will hold this academic year’s third and final career fair for teachers.

The event is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at King High School.

District officials say they anticipate a number of current teachers to retire or leave Detroit Schools. They are seeking new teachers for all grade levels beginning next fall. The district also says there is a “critical need” for teachers in art, special education and bilingual instruction.

On-site interviews will be held Thursday.

Applications must be completed online to attend the career fair.
