LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says routine bridge inspections will mean lane closures on roadways in Fort Smith and North Little Rock.

AHTD crews are inspecting the Highway 64 bridge over the Arkansas River between Fort Smith and Oklahoma. Westbound lanes will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday and eastbound lanes will be closed Tuesday through Thursday during the same time.

Crews are also inspecting a bridge just south of Interstate 40 that will require the closing of the southbound lane of Interstate 430 and the reduction in the width of the southbound on ramp from I-40 eastbound. The closure will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. between mile markers 9 and 10.
