ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - An air quality alert issued for the Albuquerque area due to smoke from an Arizona wildfire has been canceled.

The city’s Environmental Health Department’s Air Quality Program issued the alert due to concerns about smoke causing elevated levels of particulate matter.

However, the department says it is canceling the alert because smoke from the Skunk Fire in eastern Arizona is dispersing before reaching central New Mexico.
