BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - Two southern West Virginia residents have been sentenced for forging oxycodone prescriptions.
Thirty-one-year-old Raymond Duncan of Bud was sentenced to 10 months in prison Thursday in federal court in Beckley. Thirty-eight-year-old Jeremy Blankenship of Crab Orchard was sentenced to three years’ probation.
Federal prosecutors say the men took stolen prescription pads to be filled at Beckley-area pharmacies.
Duncan previously pleaded guilty to obtaining oxycodone by fraud. Blankenship was arrested during his attempt to have a forged prescription filled. He pleaded guilty to attempting to obtain oxycodone by fraud.
