VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - Six people are hospitalized after a woman driving a van with 11 other occupants fell asleep and ran off Interstate 20.

State Trooper Eric Henry says the wreck happened about five miles east of Vicksburg around 7:30 a.m. Monday, with the van rolling over and coming to rest in the eastbound lanes.

Henry says two boys were critically injured, one when he was ejected. They and another passenger were taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, while three were taken to River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg.

Vincent Croom and Quenine Robinson, two adults in the van, weren’t hospitalized. Croom tells the Vicksburg Post (https://bit.ly/1oK5f4W) the group was returning to Sumter, South Carolina, after visiting family in Texas.

One passenger was cut free using an extraction device.
