Pedestrian struck and killed near Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A pedestrian died Sunday evening after he was struck by a vehicle northwest of Tucson.

Luigi Marrottia, 48, was crossing Ina Road at Shannon Road around 5 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 63-year-old man. Northwest fire spokesman Capt. Adam Goldberg said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating, the Arizona Daily Star reported (https://bit.ly/TkbC2j).

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
