PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Yavapai County authorities are increasing efforts to catch anyone not wearing a seatbelt on the road.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says it will conduct targeted patrols starting Monday as part of statewide campaign.

Sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the office is partnering with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and local agencies to maintain seatbelt and child safety seat laws.

The “Buckle Up Arizona…It’s The Law” campaign will be in effect until June 1.
