PHOENIX (AP) - A Mesa man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison in a child sexual exploitation case.

Prosecutors said Monday that 43-year-old Michael Dean Ross won’t be eligible for parole.

They also say Ross will be on lifetime probation and must register as a sex offender after serving his prison term.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations began investigating Ross in November 2011.

That was after they discovered he was posting sexually charged comments on a website that contained images of child erotica.

A Maricopa County grand jury indicted Ross on multiple counts of voyeurism, sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor in November 2012.

Prosecutors say Ross waived his right to a trial and pleaded guilty to four of the counts.
