LSU picks dean for Honors College

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU has selected Jonathan Earle as dean of its Honors College.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1mVQHej ) Earle is expected to join the university on Aug. 15.

He currently is director of the university honors program at the University of Kansas.

His appointment requires approval of the LSU Board of Supervisors.

Earle received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree and doctorate from Princeton University. His background is in history and politics.
