TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A former Tulsa police officer convicted in a police corruption probe is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review his case.

Harold Wells filed a petition for a writ of certiorari last week after the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld his 2011 conviction. Wells is one of four police officers who were convicted in a large-scale police corruption investigation.

According to the Tulsa World (https://bit.ly/1lHctl8 ), at least 49 people have been freed from prison or had their cases modified because of the corruption cases.

Wells was convicted of conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with an intent to distribute it, conspiracy to steal public funds, theft of public funds and using a telephone to facilitate the commission of a drug felony.

The 10th Circuit upheld his conviction in January.
