MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A Martinsburg man accused of killing his wife is scheduled to stand trial June 10.
Thirty-year-old Rickie L. Greenfield Jr. is charged with first-degree murder.
Police have said his wife, Jill Greenfield, was found dead in her bed in August 2013 with severe trauma to her face and head. A blood-stained hammer was recovered from the scene.
Media outlets report that Berkeley County Circuit Court Judge Michael D. Lorensen is considering whether remarks that Rickie Greenfield made to police and family members should be admissible at his trial.
