ROXANA, Del. (AP) - State police in Delaware are identifying a 27-year-old man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash.

Delaware State Police identified the man Saturday evening as Scott Maxwell of Bethany Beach.

Police have said speed appears to be a factor in the crash Friday night on Pyle Center Road in Roxana. Troopers say Maxwell drifted into the wrong lane at a curve in the roadway and then overcorrected, losing control and hitting a utility pole.

Maxwell was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the car.
