NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Police Department says a 55-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in an apartment bathtub.
Authorities said Sunday that Chuan Lau was arrested on a murder charge. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.
Police say officers responded to the building on Eldridge Street after a 911 call around 6 p.m. Saturday. They found the woman unconscious in the tub.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified her as 57-year-old Meilin Liu.
Police did not say if the suspect was related to the victim.
