LITTLE MOUNTAIN, S.C. (AP) - A 45-year-old Little Mountain man trying to remove a fallen tree from his land has died.

Newberry County Chief Deputy Coroner Lewis Lee said Glenn Shealy was found trapped around 1:45 p.m. Saturday, and rescuers could not save his life.

Lee says exactly what happened to Shealy remains under investigation but the death appears to be accidental. An autopsy has been ordered.

Authorities say Shealy was last seen alive about two hours before he was discovered trapped.
