PRINCETON, W.Va. (AP) - “B’’ is for black bear. “W’’ is for Winterplace.

Those are just a few examples of “The ABC’s of West Virginia.” The book was written and published by a second-grass class at Princeton Primary.

Teacher Jill Devault tells The Bluefield Daily Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1keVng9 ) that each student chose a letter and then a landmark or other item that represented West Virginia.

DeVault says the students learned not only about history, but also about reading, writing and the research process.

She says the book’s publishing was delayed several times because of snow days during the winter.
