ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Two people are dead after a three-vehicle near Tampa Bay.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday on the Pinellas Bayway near St. Pete Beach.
Investigators say a 2004 Chevy Tahoe crossed the center line as it entered a right curve heading toward a toll area. The vehicle struck a Ford F250 and a Honda slammed into the truck.
The driver of the Chevy Tahoe and the Ford F250 were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Tahoe and two occupants of the Honda were uninjured.
A child in the Tahoe was uninjured but transported to the hospital as a precaution.
An investigation is ongoing.
