KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A former University of Tennessee Foundation executive has been sentenced to 10 years and one month in federal prison on child pornography charges.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/1iVQILz ) that Bruce O. Downsbrough was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Knoxville.

U.S. District Judge Thomas Varlan also placed Downsbrough on 10 years of probation and ordered him to pay $25,000 in restitution to five victims identified in pornographic images taken from his home.



Downsbrough pleaded guilty in October to receiving child pornography and possessing a computer disk with images of child pornography.

Federal officers raided Downsbrough’s home in November 2012 and confiscated a computer and 19 disks containing images of children under age 12.

Downsbrough was terminated from his position as chief operating officer after his indictment.
