Avoyelles students soon can earn credit at LSUA

MARKSVILLE, La. (AP) - Public high school students in Avoyelles Parish soon will be able to begin earning college credit at LSU-Alexandria.

KALB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1oBAfnz ) that beginning this fall, eligible juniors and seniors in Avoyelles Parish can also enroll at LSU of Alexandria, for free. They can earn up to 30 college credit hours.

The school district will cover the tuition of $33 per credit hour. The district also will bus the students to and from parish high schools for morning classes at LSUA.
