GASSAWAY, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia Ethics Commission has scheduled a one-hour training session on the state’s ethics law.
The training is set for Tuesday morning at the Gassaway Town Hall.
The free session is open to public employees, government lawyers and the public. Lawyers can earn 1.2 hours of Continuing Legal Education credit.
Some of the topics to be covered include the prohibition against the use of public office for private gain, gift limitations for public servants and the prohibition against having a financial interest in a public contract.
