LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police are investigating a fatal shooting during a party in an opulent penthouse suite with stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip.
Authorities say a man was hospitalized with a gunshot to the chest and later died after police were called after 9 p.m. Thursday to the Fantasy Tower at the Palms Hotel and Casino.
Police Lt. Roger Price tells the Las Vegas Sun (https://bit.ly/1sW1WXJ ) the shooting took place while dozens of people were in the Sky Villa atop the tower just west of the main hotel-casino.
No one was immediately arrested, and police didn’t say what prompted the shooting.
The tower was locked down for several hours during the investigation.
