WACO, Texas (AP) - Central Texas police say they’ve arrested a man identified as a suspect in the slaying earlier this week of two men at an apartment complex.
Waco police Sgt. Patrick Swanton says investigators Friday afternoon attempted to stop a vehicle containing 27-year-old Todric Deon McDonald. After a brief pursuit McDonald’s vehicle collided with another operated by law enforcement and became disabled.
McDonald was arrested on a charge of capital murder and transported to the McLennan County jail.
Police say 24-year-old Justin Javier Gonzalez and 30-year-old Ulysses Gonzalez were inside an apartment when gunfire erupted early Tuesday. The cousins were visiting residents when they were killed.
Authorities have not indicated a motive for the shooting.
Jail records Friday did not indicate an attorney for McDonald.
