NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A 52-year-old New Orleans man accused of gunning down a 14-year-old boy has been arrested.

A police warrant squad and U.S. Marshals task force Thursday arrested Gregory Johnson without incident.

Nola.com ’ The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/QO9mhB ) Johnson was booked with first-degree murder in Miquial Jackson’s death. He was buried Wednesday as the city’s youngest homicide victim this year.



Police say Johnson took a gun brought to him by a roommate and fired at three teenagers he had been “fussing” with on May 5. Investigators say the bullets missed one teenager, hit 15-year-old Lamichael Jackson in the leg and his younger brother in the back of the head.

Police have not offered a motive for the shootings

Johnson’s roommate, 49-year-old Randy Pittman, faces three counts of principal to attempted first-degree murder.
