GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A fire at a downtown Great Falls apartment building led to two residents being hospitalized for smoke inhalation and possible burns.

The fire was reported at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in a second-floor apartment.

Assistant Fire Chief Steve Hester says the fire was contained to the room where it started and firefighters were able to quickly knock it down, but all the residents of the building were evacuated.

Hester says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
