WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Police say a 15-year-old Wilmington boy is facing charges after a loaded handgun was found in his school locker.

City police say Moyer Academy officials locked down the school Wednesday after a student told staffers that another student had a handgun. Officials found a loaded .32 caliber revolver in the student’s locker.

Police say officers arrested the student and a further search of the locker turned up marijuana and a BB gun.

The teen has been charged with possession of a firearm in safe school zone, possession of marijuana and other offenses. He is being held at the New Castle County Detention Center on $6,100 bond.
