Officials to launch ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Governor’s Highway Safety Office is urging Tennessee motorists to buckle up.

The agency will join the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the Hendersonville Police Department and the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office in Hendersonville on Thursday to kick off the “Click It or Ticket” campaign.

Last year, officials say more than 360 fatal crash victims in Tennessee were not wearing a seat belt. So far this year, 128 fatal crash victims were unrestrained.

The “Click It or Ticket” National Enforcement Mobilization efforts take place Monday through June 1.
