19-year-old arrested in Penrose bank robbery

CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - A 19-year-old is suspected of robbing of bank in southern Colorado.

Tyler Matthew Schnapp of Penrose was arrested Wednesday by Fremont County sheriff’s deputies and Florence police. He’s accused of holding up a Wells Fargo bank in Penrose, a town east of Florence, on Wednesday using a handgun.

The Canon City Daily Record (https://bit.ly/1lAH7y8) reports that witnesses saw the suspect leave in a maroon SUV. Schnapp was arrested after he was pulled over in a vehicle matching that description on U.S. Highway 50 near Penrose.

It’s not clear if he has a lawyer.
