CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Several West Virginia business owners are being recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The federal agency is marking National Small Business Week to recognize the nation’s top small business entrepreneurs and business advocates.
The SBA’s West Virginia District Office will hold a ceremony May 29 in Morgantown to honor state award winners.
The Small Business Person of the Year is Kenneth Allman of PracticeLink and MountainPlex Properties Inc. in Hinton. Exporter of the Year is Chad Remp of Wheeling Truck Center Inc.
Family-Owned Small Business of the Year is Christopher Wendling of A.F. Wendling Inc. in Buckhannon. The Young Entrepreneur of the Year is Bridget Rowsey of Bridget’s Dance Academy in Huntington.
The state’s top small business lenders also will be honored.
