PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a south Philadelphia man has been arrested in connection with shots fired into a car carrying two women and a 4-month-old girl.

Police said Wednesday that 31-year-old Ali Shaffiat faces charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in connection with the incident Saturday evening.

Investigators said a 28-year-old woman was driving downtown when another car tried to pass her on the one-lane road.

They said the driver followed the vehicle for 10 blocks, honking his horn, and then pulled out a BB gun and fired twice as she turned onto a main street.

The back window of the car was shattered. No one was hurt.

Police say they found the suspect through surveillance video that recorded the vehicle and with automatic license plate readers, attached to police cruisers.
