ARDMORE, Pa. (AP) - Police and transit officials are investigating a reported assault of a conductor on a suburban Philadelphia commuter train line.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation authority said the conductor was attacked around 3 p.m. Wednesday on the Norristown High Speed Line at the Ardmore Junction Station.
Police say a suspect shoved the head of the female conductor into a glass booth.
She was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The suspect was taken into custody and faces assault charges.
Police tell WPVI-TV that the attack stemmed from a dispute over a fare.
The names of the conductor and the suspect weren’t released.
