CHEHALIS, Wash. (AP) - The autopsy on a man shot to death by a neighbor in the Lewis County town of Salkum showed that he was shot twice in the front, not in the back, as some witnesses reported.

The Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/RRwBsd) the autopsy results Tuesday in the death of 28-year-old Travis Shive may help sheriff’s detectives determine whether the Saturday night shooting was in self-defense.

Shive had accused the 56-year-old neighbor of shooting a dog. Shive was hit in the abdomen and upper left shoulder and died of internal bleeding.
