BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - An Ennis man has been sentenced to probation and fined $5,000 for his role in a fatal car crash.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1mVhEmK ) 79-year-old Storrs Myron Bishop pleaded no contest to misdemeanor reckless driving Tuesday during a hearing in Madison County Justice Court in Virginia City. Bishop was charged after a Nov. 30 crash that killed 66-year-old Michael Robinson of Bozeman.

Judge Suzanne Nellen also revoked Bishop’s driver’s license for a year and said he could not drive again until he is medically evaluated and obtains a valid driver’s license.

Bishop was charged in January. The Montana Highway Patrol says Bishop’s pickup crossed into the opposite lane of U.S. Highway 287 and struck Robinson’s car.
