BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Buffalo have charged a woman with killing her 8-year-old son.
Police spokesman Michael DeGeorge says the boy was stabbed inside a home shortly before 1:45 a.m. Wednesday and later died at Women and Children’s Hospital.
Later in the morning, his 29-year-old mother, Jessica Murphy, appeared with an assigned attorney and pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. She was held without bail pending a felony hearing scheduled for Monday.
DeGeorge says additional details aren’t available yet.
