KODIAK, Alaska (AP) - Three Kodiak men have been charged after attacking three other men living in a tent, allegedly retaliation for having money stolen.

KMXT reports (https://is.gd/gs0IZz) 39-year-old Jami Gibson, 38-year-old Phil Gibson and 27-year old Julian Valdez face robbery, theft, assault, kidnapping and drug misconduct charges.

All three were assigned public defenders, and a call to that agency wasn’t immediately returned Wednesday.

They are accused of breaking into a tent early Monday morning, tying up three other men and beating one with a wooden rod.

The men escaped. Police investigated, and later say they found about $14,000 in heroin and other drugs in the Gibsons’ home.

Alaska State Troopers say the attack on the men in the tent was provoked after one allegedly stole cash from the two Gibsons.
