SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police in Salt Lake City say they’ve arrested the Metro Gang Unit’s “public enemy No. 1.”
The Deseret News reports (https://tinyurl.com/kvxrfv6) 22-year-old Rodrigo Scott Burquez was arrested on Saturday at a house in West Valley on an outstanding warrant stemming from an armed assault four years ago.
United police say Burquez is a member of a “violent street gang.” He served a year in jail for a 2010 robbery and 13 counts of aggravated assault when he pointed a rifle at several people including children who’d been playing at a park.
Police say they’ve been looking for him since he violated his probation last year.
