GRANT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was found in the fire-charred remains of a home in Michigan’s northwestern Lower Peninsula.
TV stations WPBN-WTOM report the Grand Traverse County sheriff’s department says William Rackow was identified through an autopsy. The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports the 76-year-old lived at the Grant Township home along with his 70-year-old wife.
A Michigan State Police fire investigator has determined that the fire last Thursday wasn’t arson, but an investigation is ongoing into the cause.
