MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (AP) - A woman shot in the head while sitting in her western Pennsylvania living room wasn’t the intended target of a gunman, who was allegedly aiming from outside her home at someone standing in front of a neighboring house.
Allegheny County police on Monday arrested 21-year-old Oneal Olive, of Mount Oliver. He is charged with attempted homicide and other charges.
Police have yet to release the name of the 60-year-old woman who was critically wounded about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in her Stowe Township home.
County Lt. Andrew Schurman says police have also charged Olive with aggravated assault, weapons violations, reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.
Police didn’t immediately say why they believe Olive tried to shoot the other person.
