Woman found dead in doctors’ office building

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a medical office building.

Officers say an employee found the body of 43-year-old Christie Lynn Pelland of Pasadena in a gynecologist’s office in the Medical Arts Centre of Glen Burnie. Police say Pelland’s body, which was found about 8:45 a.m. Monday, had obvious signs of upper body trauma.

Authorities say Pelland worked for a cleaning company and had cleaned several offices in the building.

Police say there were no signs of forced entry into the building. Officers believe the victim was targeted.
