ALBION, Pa. (AP) - Police in northwestern Pennsylvania are investigating the discovery of a suspected methamphetamine lab inside a large apartment complex after an explosion and fire.
The Erie Times-News (https://bit.ly/SUF8va) said the apartment complex is for the elderly and poor.
Firefighters arrived at about 2 p.m. Monday. Windows were blown out of a second-floor apartment in the north wing of the building and investigators said they found the suspected lab inside the apartment.
One person suffered burns and was taken to a hospital.
Albion Fire Chief Scott Hyde said 110 people live in the building, which houses elderly and Section 8 tenants. Officials evacuated people from parts of the building as firefighters assessed the damage, which was limited to the one apartment.
