MAPLETON, N.D. (AP) - Authorities believe a buildup of heat started a fire in a dryer at a feed mixing facility near Mapleton.

KFGO radio reports (https://bit.ly/1gdDXRP ) that a Cass County sheriff’s deputy spotted smoke at Westway Feed Products about 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters from Mapleton and Casselton responded and quickly put out the fire before it spread to any buildings.

Damage is estimated at under $1,000.
