CLIFTON, Colo. (AP) - An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances after authorities say a man was shot by a Mesa County sheriff’s deputy.
Deputies were called to investigate a man standing along a roadside in Clifton on Sunday who called the sheriff’s office threatening to harm himself. Authorities say when deputies arrived, the shooting occurred.
According to KKCO-TV (https://tinyurl.com/jwm99at ), the man’s name and nature of his injuries were not available.
Grand Junction police and the district attorney’s office are investigating.
